Many were pressed into service during the heigth of the Secession Wars, and were pressed into service. Generally armed with 12 machine guns, they were often used in close air support missions in conjunction with infantry. Their short range limited their usefulness, but the fact that they could operate from rough, unpaved fields made them a boon to front-line troops that needed support NOW.* With limited armor, limited fuel, and only short-ranged weapons, the T-25 was generally a sitting duck when used agianst anything but infantry or very lightly armed vehicles. Dispite this, it occasionally made all the difference in a battle, because it's massive number of machine guns were able to cut down even the largest formation to a man in a single pass. On backwater worlds where the primary danger was from infantry assault, the T-25 showed it's greatest successes, and is even still used today to protect agianst small-time pirate raiders. € A varriant of the T-25 has recently cropped up that gives it a rather astounding amount fo firepower for it's size and cost. By replacing the wing-mounted machine guns (and their ammo) with 10 intrigal 40mm rocket pods, the T-25 becomes capable of engaging most light armored vehicles with deadly results. This version also adds a fifth machine gun in the nose, allowing the varriant to retain a good precentage of it's usefulness agianst infantry. Generally, a T-25 of this type till mass it's rocket fire on one or two hard targets and use it's guns to either finish the disabled targets, or on any accompning (or escaping) infantry. ' Deployed on virtually every world in the Combine to some degree, the T-25 sees most of it's service guarding vital but low-value targets like agricultural worlds with little industrialization, supplimenting more capable but less plentiful craft and freeing them for more difficult missions.
