With newer technology resurfacing, the Raven was first in line to receive such.ÎAt the time of its birth, Hellespont was experimenting with a device called an ECM. This was suppose to be the "Heart" of this machine. Hellespont soon realized that now is the time to use it. In addition to the ECM, it uses improved armor plating. Ferro-fibrous covers the frame of this LAM with angular sections giving this LAM a unique fasad. An extra-light engine proves extra tonnage for more equipment but retains the same energy output as a standard fusion engine. A vast improvement is the additional laser weapon. A large laser placed on the right torso gives it significant punch at medium to long range giving this LAM the extra edge it needed. The Raven also makes use of CASE and double heatsinks. ±Of all the Houses in the Innersphere, Marik is the only one who has been able to salvage or capture a few RVN-98L. The RVN-99M features almost similiar weapons. Noticably, it features and extended-ranged large laser. This weapon can reach an extra 120 meters but at the cost of higher heat. This model neither features the ECM or ferro-fibrous armor. It also increases the heat dissapation by dropping the SRM4 in favor of an SRM2.
