Completion dates for prototypes are not known. The mission of this lightly armed and armored Raven is to provide electronic warfare and countermeasure support at company level for other BattleMechs. Leaving the heavy close-in combats to other, more heavily armed 'Mechs, the Raven, as envisioned, will typically stand off in an engagement and identify selected targets for indirect fire by artillery and infantry. Its ECM allows it to identify targets at longer than normal ranges and to degrade EW techniques by enemy units. xEntered by Dave & Dan Welch from TRO 3050 Distribution is from Record Sheets Volume One Light 'Mechs, FASA publication 1647. I located the extra heat sink crits in the Head and Center Torso. [Rest deleted] ====================================== Entered by TT, based on the RVN-1X from Dave & Dan Welch. Here is the corrected RVN-1X with the corrected stats for the ECM. Source is the source book 'House Liao' from FASA (Here one will find the Cataphract-1X as well). I set the rules Level to Level 1, according to the following facts: This mech is found in the House Liao SB for the first time; game-time of printing of this book is 3025. This Mech doesn't use advanced Level 2 equipment, due to the fact there are no official FASA rules to the ECM-System. Therefore it is officially a waste of space and weight. Also it is a design with a issued RS from FASA (see above). The sections 'Overview' and 'Capabilities' are taken from 'House Liao'. It uses Liao's prototype ECM-Equipment (3025). Although this Equipment is added as a custom Weapon, its stats are taken from the TR of the RVN-1X from the House Liao Sourcebook (with the exception of the cost and BV; I have no ideas for that values). There are no (official) rules for this equipment, though. Suggested rules: One may use none, some or all of the following rules to simulate the ECM-Equipment: Bonus to Iniative: +1 Bonus for attacking: +1 Malus for beeing fired on: -1 Bonus for spotting (ind. LRM / Art.): +1 or +2 It may be used as a variant of the Beagle Active Probe. Feel free to modify the ranges for this up or down. This may seem to be very much boni for only one piece of equipment, but keep in mind this piece is extremly heavy. I will later try to add the semi-official rules for this piece of equip. from the german version of the Solaris VII Box set (although these rules seem to make not much sense).
