That is all that has to be said about the purpose and history of the Leveler Super Heavy Missle Carrier series that was reciently developed in Clan space. Comming in three models to fit the three types of missle launchers [ long range, short range, and advanced tachtical] the Leveler does just that. It levels what ever it's turrent is pointed at and quickly.  The first Leveler spotted was a long range model. It was armed with ten - fifteen tube long range missle launchers and thirteen tons of ammunition to feed them, the Leveler LRM can create landing zones from cities in minutes. For defensive purposes it is also equiped with two machine guns facing forward and one each to the right left and rear and an antipersonel pod to the rear. The real defense for the Leveler is the sixteen and a half tones of ferro fibrous armor. The second model seen replaces the LRM racks with thirteen short range six streak racks and nine tons of ammunition. The last model, the ATM model, replaces the LRM's with ten Advanced Missle six racks also with thirteen tons off ammunition to include standard, long range, and high explosive.     Generally Levelers are used as point defense vehicles in major cities, near vital locations (for example military factiories, government offices, major metroplexes on worlds where fighting is fierce and defense is an at all costs measure or as part of a heavy assault on the same. They have been seen being used to prep LZ's for dropships and mining the path behind a retreat. Levelers are rarely seen together, unless it is a pairing of two different models, most commonly one LRM and one SRM since the ATM models are rare.
