Serving proudly for 50 years, when the fusion engine and gauss rifle were developed the engineers of the day knew just what to do with those developments. Following the fashion of the time they replaced the old 120-mm smooth-bore cannon with a single gauss rifle with 40 rounds of ammunition and replaced the old thirsty gas turbine engine with a 240 standard fusion engine. The Abrams boasts an exceptionally low silhowette and extremely well sloped armor. This thousand year old design is still extremely effective if used properly and is the precursor of the modern day Rommel and Patton tanks. ?Though armed with only a single weapon, the gauss rifle gives the Abrams a heavy punch combined with long range and enough ammo to keep it in the field a long time. Covered with ten tons of standard chobham armor allows the Abrams to take an impressive amount of punishment and the CASE around the gauss rifle enables the crew to survive unscathed more often than not when the gauss rifle receives a critical hit. If this tank is produced again it will undoubtedly prove extremely effective and popular even compared to the newer, more advanced tanks being produced even now.UThroughout its service the Abrams was regarded as one of the best tanks ever produced and proved itself to be almost indestuctible to the weapons of the time. The M1A3 Abrams racked up an incredible kill to death ratio of 157 enemy tank kills for every friendly tank destroyed. That ratio has still not been surpassed a thousand years later.+There are no known variants of this design. “The M1A3 Abrams tank has not been in production for one thousand years and the few that still exist are found only in museum collections, however at its height the M1A3 Abrams equipped the armies of the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Denmark, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Israel, India, Bahrain, UAE, Italy, Greece, Finland, Poland, the Netherlands, and Austria. ÿÿ (Unknown) (Unknown) (Unknown) (Unknown) (Unknown) (Unknown)8C:\Program Files\HeavyMetal\Vee\vehicles\Abrams M1A3.hm-
