Overview:
Created in the last days of Amaris's reign
this is truly the most costly blunder of his decisions.
Capabilities:
Amaris himself set down the specifications
for this 'Mech. At 100 tons it is among the largest
'Mechs ever built and its 300 rated engine does give it
a respectable speed and the 42 medium lasers and 3 PPCs
give it an unmatched firepower. However in Amaris'
dreams of building the ultimate 'Mech he forgot to
specify the number of heat sinks and the amount of
armor.
To incorporate all of his "suggestions" the
scientists could only give it two tons of standard armor
and it only has the ten standard heat sinks that come
with the engine.
With the Usurper's known penchant for beheading
those who disagree or bring him bad news, none of the
scientists on the project dared to report to him about
the 'Mech's deficiencies. In the surviving reports of
the time it is apparent that the scientists even
falsified the test data in fear for their lives.
Battle History:
With the political climate surrounding this
'Mech it is no wonder that such a poorly designed
instrument of war actually saw use. In the few reported
clashes with Star League troops the 'Mech was usually
destroyed in the first couple of rounds. Eventually the
commanders began to issue it to certain soldiers as
punishment. It soon became the most hated 'Mech of the
war.
Variants:
There are no official variants. However many
field commanders stripped of most of the medium lasers
to give it extra armor and heat sinks.
Deployment
Only 500 were made before the end of the
war. None survived.
