In 3067 Clan scientists began work on a new OmniMech to provide long range direct fire support to lighter Mechs. The design has been given the development name of War and is currently undergoing weapon configurations testing.

The chassis was based on that of the Dire Wolf to shorten development time, the only difference being the amount of armour mounted, and the number of fixed heat sinks. The War BV version tested mounts jumpjets to aid battlefield mobility and the weapons consist of an ERPPC and ER medium laser in each arm and a Gauss rifle in the left torso with three tonnes of ammunition, and enough heat sinks to fire them all without causing serious heat concerns, as the design is rather slow four ER medium lasers were fitted firing into the rear arc of the Mech. to give some deterrence against more agile opponents trying to attack the thin rear armour. To assist in providing accurate fire in the intended role of fire support all the weapons are tied to a targeting computer, and a ECM suite is fitted for use in disrupting Inner Sphere C3 networks and providing protection against accurate fire from Artemis equipped opponents.

Various configurations are being tested.
